Essential Calculus, Early Transcendentals, James Stewart

Content (tentative, subject to change with course progress)

Review of basic algebra tools; functions: polynomials, trigonometric, exponentials,logarithmic; graphic representations of the functions; limits; derivatives (polynomials,exponentials,logarithmic, trigonometric functions); rules of the differentiation.

Recitations meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Questions about practice problems, homeworks and course material will be answered.

Attendance

You are expected to attend all classes (lectures and recitations) and exams. No makeup exams are given. No late homeworks will be accepted.

Homework

Homeworks are due each Tuesday at the beginning of the recitation session. Problems in the homework will be similar to the examples considered in lectures, recitations and on practice problems offered below. Students have to show all the work in the homework, not just write the answer! Attendance of all classes is very important ! Students are also responsible for checking the instructor webpage weekly for updates on the course! Two lowest scores will be dropped from the grade for the (homeworks+ quizzes).
